For today’s makeup, I mixed in a bit of the new with the old. I’ve been currently loving warm neutral colors and pops of peach and I have been working this into my makeup routine lately.
Eyes: For today’s neutral eye, I chose Too Faced’s Natural Matte Eye Palette. I love the variety of soft, warm colors in the palette. I worked the color Heaven under my brow bone, worked Strapless and Chocolate onto my lids and used Sexpresso to define my crease. I’ve also been testing out the new Nars Audacious mascara in Black Moon. So far, I am really impressed. The brush is amazing! It lengthens and lifts my lashes and I can see a noticeable difference in lash volume. I may have to add this to my mascara stash! It is also in the carbon black variety that I love. I also used Tarte Cosmetics’ Tarteist Clay Paint Liner to complete my look.
Brows: I recently purchased the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Dark Brunette. The chiseled, triangular-shaped tip makes it very easy to apply and define the shape of my brows and the large spoolie brush included is great for grooming and feathering.
Face: For foundation, I used Marc Jacob’s Coconut Primer and the Re(marc)able foundation in the color Golden Medium. This combination has been amazing and provides flawless, weightless coverage. You can read my review on both products here. I used my Marc Jacobs Sculpting foundation brush No. II to apply it which works wonderfully. I also recently purchased the Buffing Foundation brush, No. III from this line and can’t wait for it to arrive. I hope to write another post on a comparison of the two.
For setting powder, I used Giorgio Armani’s New Luminous Silk Powder to lightly set my makeup. This powder is so lightweight, soft and finely milled and provides a soft, matte finish. I also used Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow for all over-warmth as well as to highlight. For blush, I used one of my old favorites from Mac Cosmetics in the color Gentle.
Lips: I used Tom Ford’s lip color sheer in the color Paradiso from the Summer Soleil collection and topped it with Charlotte Tilbury’s lip lacquer in the color Sweet Stilleto. It’s a beautiful pairing! When blended, it creates a beautiful soft pink coral to complete my overall look.
