Tom Ford Summer Soleil Collection 2015

Now that summer is almost over, I think about all the summer releases that I purchased, and by far, the Tom Ford Summer Soleil 2015 collection was one of my favorites. All the colors within the collection capture the essence of summer, with luminous, golden bronze shades and shimmery pinks. I could also not resist the luxurious white and gold packaging.

I picked up 2 of the four lip color sheers  released from the summer collection in the color Paradiso, a medium pink which  is a re-promote from their Summer 2014 collection and the shade Skinny Dip, which is described as Peach Pink. I love the signature TF embossment. I experience a little bit of sadness to see it disappear every time I use it, but the colors are too gorgeous not to use. Now that summer is almost coming to an end, I am happy that both colors were put to good use. The sheers provide a beautiful finish when I want a sheer, yet colorful wash on the lips.

I also purchased the Eye and Cheek Compact, which has a beautiful range of the colors plum, rose gold, and golden violet. I love the mix of shades within this particular palette. The colors are very pigmented and can be layered on nicely to achieve the desired amount of color saturation. These colors complement each other very well and the colors are quite flattering on my medium golden skin tone.

The Cream Cheek color in Pink Sand is absolutely beautiful! It’s a peach-pink shade that instantly brightens, and gives just the right amount of color and shimmer. I dip into a little bit of it with a small stippling brush right after applying my foundation. A little goes along way, so if you’re heavy handed, I would recommend applying  a little bit with clean fingers. When blended, it leaves a very gorgeous, radiant, and lustrous finish.

Finally, I picked up the bronzer in Gold Dust, $65  which is a mini version of their larger offering which retails for $95. It’s the perfect size and ideal for travel because it can fit quite nicely into your makeup bag. It’s described as a medium-dark brown with a dusting of fine, gold shimmer. This color complements my yellow undertones very well. It feels very silky upon application, and it’s completely buildable. I tried both bronzers that were available for purchase. The other bronzer in the color Terra had more of a matte finish. Since I already have many matte bronzers in my makeup stash I passed and picked up Gold Dust because of the beautiful golden shimmer it contains.

I am so very happy with my purchase of the Tom Ford Summer Soleil collection. It’s a perfect addition to my ever growing Beauty Stash. I will continue to use some of the colors and work them into my makeup routine, whether it’s summer or not since beautiful Southern California weather allows for it.
