As soon as I saw The Sofia Five Piece Petites Le Marc Collection online, I knew I had to have it. I have been a fan of the Marc Jacobs Beauty line for quite some time now. The line contains a wide range of products that I have found to be exceptionally satisfactory in terms of performance and quality and the luxurious packaging is truly one of a kind. I particularly enjoy the myriad range of colors offered from their lipstick line and most recently, I have come to love the newest addition to their permanent collection, the Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation, reviewed here. The Sofia Lipstick set contains five iconic Le Marc Lip Creme shades which is comprised of a range of best selling reds. It’s a giftable collection of five deluxe-sized Le Marc Lip Cremes beautifully housed in a patent leather pouch that was designed by Marc Jacobs himself.

Blow (210): Dark Berry Velvet
Boy Gorgeous (222): Dark Magenta Red

The colors are richly pigmented, glide on smoothly and provide a velvety, semi-matte finish. The colors contain no shimmer and provide great color saturation with one swipe. In addition, the texture is smooth and creamy and glides on very easily on my lips with no tugging. It’s not only beautifully pigmented, but the formula provides opaque coverage that is long lasting. On me, the formula lasted throughout the day with minimal transferring after eating and/or drinking. Touching up after meals, therefore, was always a breeze. Thanks to hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as antioxidant-rich seaberry, meranti and cocoa butter my lips certainly felt moisturized and hydrated throughout the day.
Each deluxe size Le Marc Lipstick comes in a black lacquered case with the Marc Jacobs logo down the center much like its full size counterpart. Two of my personal favorites from this set are Boy Gorgeous and Blow. They compliment my skin tone very well and I have the full size versions in my current rotation for Fall.
