One brand that I have always been curious about trying is Burberry Beauty. Last month’s VIB Rouge sale from Sephora was the perfect opportunity to pick out some items and save a little money in the process. I visited my local Sephora and was happy to find their Limited Edition Festive Gold collection. The collection features colors that are decidedly festive, though in a more understated way. All pieces also come in limited edition gold packaging which makes it all the more alluring. Today’s post will feature the products I picked out as well as as my overall thoughts and swatches.
First up is the Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Gold No. 25. It is a four-shade eye palette with a luminizing base to highlight, two buildable colors for all over depth, and a more intense color to define and line. It comes with a velvet pouch that contains a few small brushes. The quad itself is embossed with Burberry’s signature pattern. The colors contained in the quad are very complementary to one another and allows you to create multiple eye looks. All the shades contained in this palette provide a shimmery finish, perfect to complete an eye look that is festive for the holiday season. The shadows felt silky smooth to the touch, are super blendable and highly pigmented. The shades are versatile and can be worn all over, the lighter color can even be used as an all-over highlighter, while the darkest shade can be used to define the crease and line. I was very impressed with this eyeshadow quad and look forward to trying out more quads from their line.

I also picked up their limited edition Burberry Kisses in the color Military Red which according to Burberry contains a rich blend of satin-finish pigments and shiny polymers that gives luminous color brilliance. It also is encased in the beautiful limited edition gold packaging. The lipstick felt weightless and comfortable on my lips and provides a sheer to medium satin finish. One swipe provided a nice vibrant sheen, while applying a couple more layers allowed me to build it to my desired vibrancy. An added benefit is that it contains rosehip, tea, and lavender which provides hydration.
Finally, I picked up their Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base their limited edition gold hued packaging. This is one of their best sellers and I can see why. It’s described as a whisper-light fluid that illuminates the complexion and can be used in multiple ways. You can apply it to nude skin or underneath your foundation to illuminate, blend it into an eyeshadow, smooth it onto your cheekbones or the bridge of your nose to highlight. This 55% water-infused primer was lightweight and absorbed quickly. It provided a beautiful dewy finish and subtly illuminates the skin. This is the perfect base for achieving a glow all year round, and I think I may like it even more than my Armani Fluid Master Primer, which I’ve often used to provide a dewy base before my foundation.

I am impressed with my picks from the Burberry Festive Gold Collection. I think the standout item for me is the Luminous Fluid Base. It provides hydration and a very subtle luminous glow. Though Burberry’s lipstick in Military Red is my first ever lipstick purchase from their line, I doubt that it will be my last. The formula provides breathable, comfortable wear that is buildable with every swipe. Finally, the Complete Eye Palette contains suitable shimmery colors that are festive for any holiday occasion, though I think you can find similar colors in other palettes.
Thank you for stopping by today. The season for all things festive is certainly upon us. Have a great day!
