Hello Everyone! Today's post will be about a beautiful one-of-a-kind limited edition item that is only exclusively sold at Bloomingdales--the Yves Saint Laurent Palette Lumière Divine Highlighting Finishing Powder and the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Or Divine.
YSL Beauty has released a variety of limited edition palettes lately including the Couture Palette Fall Collection (Metal Clash) and the Black Addiction Couture Palette which is exclusively available at Nordstrom. This new release is part of the YSL Gold Collection and can only be found exclusively at Bloomingdale's counters or purchased directly from their website. Scroll below for more product images and information.
Here's a Product Description (via Bloomingdale's site):
Exclusively at Bloomingdale's, the first highlighting finishing powder from YSL. This lightweight powder has a light-reflecting gold shimmer that's smooth and silky, and leaves a luminous, radiant look. Use lightly on the cheek bones, the bridge of the nose, under the eyebrows and on the tip of chin to create lift and sculpt the face.
I also picked up the limited edition release of the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Or Divine. The original Touche Eclat is a cult favorite in the beauty industry and is the number one selling sku for the brand. It not only works as a concealer, but it can also be used to highlight key areas of the face, erase fatigue, lighten dark spots, and I've even used it around the outer edges of my lips to clean up messy lines and give it more definition. It is a true multi-tasking product. The limited edition release of the Touche Eclat Or Divin Gold collection is infused with bright gold particles to illuminate the skin.
Here'a product description via Bloomingdale's site:
Exclusively at Bloomingdale's, the iconic Touche Éclat gets infused with bright gold particles for the ultimate mega highlighter from YSL. Instantly reflect light and illuminate the skin. Apply to your cheekbones, brow bones and temples to highlight your best features.
I also purchased the Yves Saint Laurent Perfecting Polisher Brush to complete the collection. It's dressed up with golden accents and is a multipurpose brush which can be used to apply the highlighting powder, or blush and bronzer. The ends are much like a stippling brush so you can also use this to apply foundation, however, I will most likely use it for applying powders only.
My Overall Thoughts
The YSL Gold Collection is without a doubt, a beautiful collector's item. Both makeup products impart a very luminous, radiant finish to my skin. If you read my previous post on the Armani Fluid Sheers, you may remember that I am a freelance makeup artist for L'Oreal Designer collections. I have had the opportunity to use these producst not only on myself but on a variety of clients and they are universally flattering on any skin tone. They impart a very subtle, luminous glow. You can apply them to the top of your cheekbones, underneath your brow bone, the upper bow of your lips, the bridge of the nose and so it is a true multi-tasking product. The color of the highlighter is very similar to Anastasia Beverly Hill's illuminator in the color Starlight. If you're interested, I have a swatch of Starlight here in a previous blog post. I am also a sucker for gorgeous packaging, and the beautifully sequined gold packaging of the palette with the slim black trim in the center is so very aesthetically pleasing to the eye! It's a welcome addition to my collection of YSL Lumiere palettes and my ever growing beauty stash.
