The 2nd installment of the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani collection is now available for purchase online. I was so happy with my purchase of the UDxGwen Eyeshadow palette, previously posted here, and when I saw sneak peaks of the new collection surface online, I excitedly waited for its launch date. I have been a fan of Gwen Stefani since my days in junior high school. Not only is she musically talented, she is the epitome of style and class, from her fashion forward looks and seemingly flawless camera ready makeup. I am fortunate to live relatively close by to the Urban Decay Flagship store in California and when the release launched in stores, I picked up a total of 7 items from the collection: The UDxGwen Blush palette, 3 lipsticks and 3 coordinating liners. Today I’d like to share information, photos and swatches of the blush palette.
UD X GWEN Blush Palette
The palette showcases Gwen Stefani’s love of graphic prints and features gold hardware with black and white packaging similar to the eyeshadow palette design. While the circular graphic on the eyeshadow palettes are black, the circular graphic featured in the blush palette are white. An UD|GWEN emblem is emblazoned in the front of the palette in gold tone hardware. A sizable mirror is included and a reference to the No Doubt song, “Magic’s in the Makeup” is emblazoned on the lower right hand corner of the mirror.
The blush palette contains six colors ranging from a shimmery rose to a mat bronze. It also boasts the “Afterglow” formula from their regular line of blushes which is described as a finely milled formula with 8 hours of wear.
An official description of the blush palette via Urban Decay’s website:
Gwen let us in on her best tricks (she’s big on defining and highlighting), and together we created her perfect blush palette. Get her glowing, contoured skin with six shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter that are versatile enough for any skin tone. Our extremely blendable, finely milled Afterglow formula goes on sheer and provides eight long hours of wearable, streak-free color. Luxurious and lightweight, it has a soft, creamy texture that always applies beautifully and feels amazing.
Cherry- (light pink satin)
Easy -(deep rose w/gold shimmer)
Angel – (champagne-nude shimmer)
Lo-Fi (soft bronze matte)
Hush (medium pink with gold shimmer).
OC-(soft pink with peach shift.)
I look forward to putting this palette to use. I adore the packaging and I’m impressed by the quality and pigmentation from the swatches thus far. Stay tuned for more images, swatches and thoughts of my other UDxGwen collection picks.
Thank you for stopping by today. These items are currently available on the Urban Decay website and will hit stores very soon.
