Lorac’s new Spring collection includes the release of their Color Source Buildable Blushes, a range of 10 new gorgeous shades in matte and satin finishes. These blushes caught my attention as I was making my rounds to the booths at IMATS and I picked up two beautiful shades to share with you today. My first introduction to their line started when I purchased their Couture Shine lipgloss in the color Trendsetter and blush in Soul, which were among my favorite items from their range of products. One thing that stands out about this line which was created by celebrity makeup artist Carol Shaw, is Lorac’s commitment to infuse their products with a host of beneficial ingredients that are good for the skin. Kindly scroll below for my color picks, swatches, and my overall review.
My first pick is the color Chroma which is described as a berry matte. This is beautiful berry pink shade that provides a subtle warm rosy hue that I find very flattering on my medium-golden complexion. The texture is silky smooth and finely milled and the color picks up beautifully with one swipe of my brush. It imparts a subtle, brightening effect when worn sheer, and when layered, it provides a color intensity and flush that just pops. On me, this blush provided a good 6 hours of wear before slightly fading.

My second color pick is the color Technicolor which is a beautiful Coral matte. I wanted to pick colors in the coral and berry families and this one is just as beautiful when worn! The texture feels just as smooth and the color blends seamlessly into my skin. I appreciate the fact that these are both matte finishes that can be worn sheer or layered. There are days when I want a more subdued, natural flush and these two picks are certainly suitable on those days.
A closer look at Technicolor. The blushes are housed in sleek, circular packaging with a see through snap closure.
Lorac’s new Color Source Buildable blushes enhance my skin beautifully and provide just the right amount of flush. The texture feels amazing and color you see in the pan is true to the color on your skin with the performance to match. I also appreciate the fact that the brand goes the extra mile by infusing a host of beneficial ingredients in their products that is also good for the skin. I am happy to add these new beauty bits to my makeup rotation and look forward putting them to use.
