Tom Ford Honeymoon Eyeshadow Quad: Review and Swatches

Tom Ford recently released five new eyeshadow quads ($80) for Spring and today I will be sharing what is perhaps the most covetable quad from Tom Ford at the moment—Honeymoon. These new quads will be part of their permanent collection. Tom Ford quads rarely disappoint and this one is a stunner. The quad sold out online before I could place an order so I contacted my local counter to keep an eye on its arrival. Sure enough, upon its arrival, I made a visit and picked it up in store.

Honeymoon is a warm- toned eyeshadow palette with a frosted metallic finish. It features 4 colors:

1. Light Copper-This is a light copper color that can be used to highlight the brow bone or be used to blend in the crease. I have used this in the inner corner of my eyes and it beautifully brightens.

2.Copper with Rose- This is warm copper tone with a frosted finish. This color is beautiful all over the eyelid and creates a soft sheen that can be very subtle or layered for more intensity.

3.Rose Bronze-This is a deep bronze shade with more of a reddish undertone. I’ve used this very sparingly because the pigment is an intense red-bronze and I think this color is more suitable to wear for the evening. It is beautiful when paired and blended with #4, plum.

4. Plum-This is a deep plum with a rich brown undertone. This color is a wonderful addition to the palette, because it helps you take the look from warm and natural to smoldering and smoky. This color adds depth to the outer crease and I absolutely love it.

These eyeshadows can be used wet or dry though I prefer to use them dry.

Verdict:

This palette is absolutely gorgeous and I can see why it is quickly the star of the collection. These beautiful shades bring warmth and dimension to my eyes. These colors are suitable for most, if not all skin tones. They do have a hefty price tag, at $80 each, but you can literally feel and see the quality. They are intensely pigmented, buttery and smooth and I can create looks that take me from day to night. In short, Tom Ford’s Honeymoon eyeshadow quad is a complete winner for me!
