Yet another month has come and gone. April was such an incredible month of exciting new releases for Summer. My selection of this month’s favorites were items used quite heavily in my rotation. I have a mixture of my tried and true go tos as well as some newer items I’ve recently acquired. Read below for my picks in no particular order.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette- This highly coveted palette lives up to the hype–I love the beautiful mix of 18 matte and shimmery shades contained within the palette that are easy to work with, allowing me to create a myriad range of looks. Viseart Theory Palette Minx-This was another palette used heavily in my rotation. The colors are exceptionally pigmented and the quality and staying power ranks very high among the eyeshadow palettes I have in my stash. It’s perfectly portable and completely compact, great for my makeup bag. Swatches and my review here.
Tom Ford Soleil Collection-The Afternooner, Moisture Core Lipstick in Mustique, Firelust Skin Illuminator- I am absolutely enamored with this year’s Tom Ford Summer collection. The Afternooner is such a gorgeous, sizable palette that holds your bronzer, blush, and highlighter within; simply effortless shades to achieve beautiful sun kissed skin. Mystique is a beautiful rosy mauve that is not only incredibly moisturizing as its namesake implies but also provides such a beautiful wash of soft shimmery color on the lips. Finally, the Skin Illuminator in Firelust can be mixed with foundation or used alone. It provides luminosity to my skin and helps me to achieve a radiant, lustrous finish. Marc Jacobs Beauty Remarcable Foundation-This foundation still ranks high among my favorites when I want to achieve full. flawless, and weightless coverage. It lasts all day, stays completely put and is touch up free. My review here.
Urban Decay Color Correcting Fluid in Peach-I have been using this concealer nearly everyday since I’ve purchased it. It’s so creamy, easy to blend and crease free. It helps to brighten my under eye and banish my dark circles which is a major plus in my book. Swatches here.
Ciate Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick in Pin Up- This color is such a beautiful warm berry that I have been reaching for lately. The formula is creamy, velvety, and easy to work with. It glides on easily and thanks to its moisturizing properties, it stays on comfortably throughout the day. You can find my review here.
YSL Baby Doll Mascara-This is another mascara I like to use in my mascara rotation. It helps to lengthen, volumize and add extra oomph to my otherwise short, brittle lashes.
Jouer Long Wear Liquid Lipstick in Fraimboise- This matte warm deep pink is the perfect color for Spring and summer. It’s such a beautiful bright color that puts me in a good makeup mood. The formula is amazing. They are quite possibly one of the most comfortable liquid lipstick formulas I have worn and I have tried quite a bit.
