Huda Beauty Lip Contour Pencils Swatches & First Impressions: Bombshell, Trendsetter, Trophy Wife, Icon

Huda Kattan from Huda Beauty recently launched a line of lip contour pencils, designed to help create a more voluminous, full pout. I am a fan of her work and her line of lashes and when the lip contours launched online at Sephora, I purchased a total of five pencils to try out. They come in a range of 9 shades, from a pinkish nude to a deep burgundy. Today, I will be sharing swatches and my first impressions with you.

“Balance and beautify your lips with the Lip Contour Matte Lip Pencil to address flat lips, thin lips, wide or narrow mouth, or uneven shape. These easy-glide lip pencils are simple to use and provide and intense payoff with a matte finish in a single swipe. Each shade is waterproof and transfer-proof and can be used alone or combined for the perfect lip look.”  –via Sephora.com

These lip pencils are intensely pigmented and glide on easily with immense color payoff. The staying power is spectacular. The lip pencils can be used to in various ways–you can draw a line just outside your natural lip line to subtly create the illusion of fullness or use the lip pencil to fill in your lips for long an all over velvety- matte finish. According to Huda, you can also use the lip contour pencils as a combo for contour and highligting, using a deeper tone to line and fill and a lighter and paler shade in the center to highlight.

I picked a total of 5 lip contour pencils, two of which are in the color Bombshell.

My picks:

Bombshell -subtle pinkish nude

Trendsetter-stylish brown nude

Trophy Wife-bestselling rose wood

Icon-classic peachy pink

These swatches were taken 4 hours after applying. From L-R: Trendsetter, Icon, Trophy Wife, and Bombshell.

The lip contour pencils are buttery smooth, glide on easily and go on effortlessly. The formula is amazing and my lips do not feel dry when worn. I can line my lips with precision or use it all over as a substitute for lipstick. I wore Trendsetter all over for a matte lipstick finish and it truly has immense staying power. It is transfer proof and lasted through lunch and dinner with slight fading in the center after 7 hours. I am quite impressed with my first introduction to the Huda Beauty Lip Contour pencils. I will be putting some of the other shades in my rotation and update this post with a full review at a later time.

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day.
