Today’s blog post will spotlight a new collection from Algenist called the Splash collection*, a skincare range focused on helping to pump hydration and skin -energizing electrolytes into skin, helping to lock in moisture. Think “sports drink for your skin.” The effects of dehydration and harmful environmental elements can dramatically accelerate skin aging. The Splash collection focuses on helping to balance skin’s moisture, by allowing the skin to maintain ideal moisture levels, while plumping dry skin cells to minimize the appearance of fine lines. I have used many products from their line in my skincare rotation since it first launched in 2011, reviewed here, and today I’m excited to share the latest items I’ve incorporated into my routine.

SPLASH ABSOLUTE HYDRATION REPLENISHING EMULSION ($54, 100ML/3.3 OZ.)
This ultra-hydrating, water-gel emulsion combines Alguronic Acid and Algalyte Complex to boost hydration and balance skin moisture. Algalyte Complex, containing a red microalgae polysaccharide and skin-energizing electrolytes, works in synergy with Alguronic Acid to replenish lost moisture while visibly improving the appearance of dry lines and wrinkles. Skin feels fully hydrated, supple and energized.
SPLASH ABSOLUTE HYDRATION REPLENISHING GEL MOISTURIZER ($58, 60ML /2 OZ.)
This ultra-hydrating, water-break moisturizer combines Alguronic Acid and Algalyte Complex to instantly penetrate the skin’s surface and boost hydration. Algalyte Complex, containing a red microalgae polysaccharide and skin- energizing electrolytes, helps restore hydration levels, balance skin moisture, and improve the appearance of thin, dehydrated skin. Dry lines and wrinkles appear minimized and skin feels supple, smooth and energized.
SPLASH ABSOLUTE HYDRATION REPLENISHING SLEEPING PACK ($48, 60ML/2 OZ.)
For the first time, this overnight sleeping mask combines Alguronic Acid and Algalyte Complex to recharge and rehydrate skin overnight, for optimal recovery. Algalyte Complex, containing a red microalgae polysaccharide and skin-energizing electrolytes, intensely hydrates skin and helps balance hydration levels to fight signs of aging. Skin is visibly brightened, smoothed, and rejuvenated in the morning.
The Splash Absolute Hydration Replenishing Gel Moisturizer has a very lightweight whipped texture that feels cool to the touch. I tend to get dry areas around my nose, mouth and chin and the Splash Gel has been very effective in helping me to address my concerns. It absorbs easily into the skin, and my skin immediately feels softer, and nourished throughout the day.
The next product I’m absolutely loving is the Splash Absolute Hydration Sleeping Pack. It’s an overnight mask that I use about 1-2 times a week when my skin needs a little TLC. It feels similar to the touch as the gel moisturizer, very lightweight and cool to the touch. I apply the mask after cleansing my skin at nighttime and then wash it off in the morning. I immediately notice softer, more radiant, and supple skin. My skin feels not only hydrated, but replenished. This product is truly amazing!
The Algenist Splash collection has been a great addition to my skincare routine. After using the products for over a month now, I have definitely benefitted from its hydrating properties.
