Gwen Stefani knows how to rock a bold lip and a line up of eight, yes, eight new shades from the UDx Gwen collaboration recently released online and will hit stores very soon. The shades come in varying finishes, from sheer, to cream to matte. Continuing with my picks from the UDx Gwen collection, today's post will feature my picks and and review of the lip colors I selected, complete with lip swatches.

I selected three shades of varying reds from the collection:
714- mega matte
Rock Steady- cream
I was really wowed by these colors when I tried them on in store. They are incredibly pigmented, provide intense color saturation along with an opaque finish. They suit my warm, golden medium skin tone beautifully and I think these can work for both warm and cool skin tones. While all the colors applied pretty evenly, 714, which is the standout mega matte shade, is a drier formula that I experienced some tugging while applying on my lips. I would recommend perhaps using a lip brush to apply this shade for more precision. 714 is a beautiful bright red that provides a true to matte finish, straight from the tube. The other cream colors applied very smoothly and the cream formula provides a glossy like, sheen finish. I used the coordinating lip liners for each shade and the lipliners are incredibly creamy and smooth. (More on it later). All in all, my lipstick picks provided intensely beautiful coverage and sat comfortably on my lips for a good 5-6 hours of wear with minimal re-touching. Swatches to follow below.
I also love the packaging and design, it contains black and gold graphics and comes housed in a sleek, black tube. I look forward to adding these lipstick picks to my makeup rotation. I am impressed with the items I selected thus far from the collection.
