Today I'd like to share another item that I picked up from IMATS LA this past weekend which is a new highlighter palette that is slated to release very soon. The palette was available in limited quantities and after swatching it at the show, I knew I had to have it! The highlighter palette will be part of items released from their Rainforest of the Sea collection. I spoke to a knowledgeable Tarte cosmetics staff member at IMATS who described the products as being water infused and containing Tarte’s antioxidant Rainforest of the Sea complex.
The highlighter palette is housed in beautiful blue and gold packaging. The blue case seemingly mimics the waves of the ocean which reflects the line's Rainforest of the Sea motif. Once opened, it houses 3 shades and includes a sizable mirror, with Tarte's logo in the bottom center.

First Impressions + Thoughts
The texture of the powders are very silky and finely milled. The texture feels very light weight and I was impressed with the color payoff with the small amount I picked up with my fan brush. Sunlight looks amazing against my medium golden skin tone. I used filtered light underneath my eyes to set my concealer. It brightens the under eye area beautifully and the addition of this matte color in this trio is a really nice touch! I only wish the pan was larger or at least in equally sized proportions as the other colors, since I've fallen in love with it and I know I will use this color often. While sunlight is a Champagne gold color that provides an intense highlight, Moonlight on me provides a more muted and subtle highlight. Nonetheless, it is gorgeous. I also used this shade to highlight underneath my brow bone. The palette provides a beautiful, luminous glow on my skin. In all, I am impressed with the quality, color offerings, and versatility of this product. I am a fan of Tarte's products because they are known as a natural performance line that is committed to producing cruelty-free products. I look forward to using it and should Filtered Light be released at a later time in a single compact, I'll be on it!
