Achieving the perfect glow is still very much on trend in 2016 as much as it was in 2015. One exciting new release from Anastasia Beverly Hills is her new line of Glow Kits. These two highlighting palettes come in two variations. That Gleam is aimed for consumers with more cooler skin tones while 'That Glow' is more suitable for warmer skin tones. Each palette contains four sizable highlighters that can be used in a myriad number of ways to achieve the 'perfect glow.'
Sunburst – A bright, luminous gold with a metallic finish.
Bubbly-A Champagne rose with a pearlescent finish
Golden Bronze – A sultry, warm bronze with a gold-flecked finish.
Dripping in Gold– A lavish gold with a vivid reflective finish
Hard Candy – A mood-changing golden peach with a pink pearl reflective finish
Starburst– A rush of cool pink with an iridescent finish.
Crushed Pearl – A glimmering pink and silver with a crystalized chrome finish
Mimosa – A radiant golden peach with a metallic finish.
The shades are quite sizable. You get 0.26 oz of product in one pan. The kit retails for $40, which means each pan comes out to $10 each which is an incredibly great value! The four shades can be worn individually or layered to your desired luminosity and are completely versatile. You can use them as eyeshadows or all over the body. Additionally, the warmer shades can even be used as bronzer. It is also recommended to use a damp brush for more intensity. This is where your MAC Fix Plus would come in handy. These highlighters add beautiful dimension to my face and I like the fact that I can achieve a soft and subtle look for the day and transition to a more intense glow for the evening.
They are soft in texture, creamy and blend beautifully. Each pan is fully removable and magnetic, perfect to pop out and place in your Z palette for travel. They are firm and definitely not fragile which would make it a great companion also for your makeup kit if you are a makeup artist.
Do you really need this? The answer depends on your personal preference. If you're like me, you probably have quite a few highlighters that you easily can put into your rotation. I was fortunate to be gifted these products from my generously wonderful sister. Thanks sis--if you're reading! The colors are exceptionally beautiful. Another added bonus is their lasting power (I achieved 8 hours of wear before fading) I've fallen in love with two colors in particular, Mimosa and Sunburst which brings radiance and instant luminosity. These palettes are also perfect for my makeup kit for freelance assignments, so it's a definite YES for me.
Are you planning on picking one up?
