Today I wanted to share a few beauty discoveries I recently I had the opportunity to test out courtesy of a Beauty Box that was sent to me courtesy of RAN. These items are from the beauty categories of: fragrance, skincare, makeup and beauty tools and today I’m here to share with you my experience with each product as well as my recommendations. There were some products that I absolutely fell in love with! Kindly scroll below for details.
Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub*-$28, link here.
This 5 minute detoxifying and exfoliating clay mask contains natural bamboo charcoal and kaolin clay to help remove pollution and impurities. Charcoal? Yes, you heard that right. Activated charcoal is not what you put in your BBQ pit. The ingredient is a form of highly absorbent carbon that has natural abilities to draw out dirt, oil, and impurities. This leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth and I love the little silica beads that help to gently exfoliate and help to refine my skin texture.
Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow* -$33, link here.
Let me first say that I had a hard time accurately capturing this beauty. You know when people say, “it’s much more gorgeous in person?” Well, these would be the words I would use to describe this Sparkle eyeshadow from Bobbi Brown in Silver Moon. It has a featherweight formula that has a unique combination of shimmering pearls and glitter in a translucent base. The shadow feels creamy and soft to the touch and it is extremely pigmented. There is minimal fall out. It is what I’ve come to expect from most glittery finishes but the result is beautifully defined eyes with a touch of sparkle. This shadow in particular would be perfect for the upcoming festive holiday season.
MIssoni Eau de Toilette*–$94, link here.
This citrus, floral and woody fragrance is very delicate, soft, and feminine. It was inspired by the unique, fleeing moment of daybreak, a vivacious reawakening of feminine sensuality innate to a woman. The bottle is bright and warm and reminds me of the beautiful sunlight that often pours through the window welcoming a new day. It is my first introduction to their line of fragrance and I quite like it. Do I love it more than my beloved Giorgio Armani Aqua di Gioia? Not quite, but I do think this is a good one to explore, especially if you like fresh and woodsy scents.
Eve Lom Cleanser*, $80, link here.
This Eve Lom cleanser is quite a skin treat. It is something that reminds me of a spa treatment as it includes a Muslin Cloth to help with skin exfoliation. This is something that I have been incorporating into my skincare routine about 2-3 times per week. It is not a one-and-done type of cleanser. This is the type of cleanser you use when you have extra time to treat yourself at the end of a long day. Clove oil targets blemishes and encourages clear skin, while eucalyptus oil combats toxins and helps to tone the skin. It also includes Egyptian chamomile oil to soften the skin and cocoa butter to condition and nourish. In short, you get a host of beneficial ingredients to treat your skin while the aromatherapeutic qualities leaves you feeling like you’ve just received a spa treatment at home. It exfoliates, brightens, and tones. I don’t know what took me so long to discover it, it’s really worth exploring!
Keyvn Aucoin Eyelash Curler*-$23, link here.
Finally, the Keyvn Aucoin lash curler was a fabulous discovery. You can turn the curler upside down to curl your bottom lashes! I was really impressed with this feature. I have really high cheekbones and sometimes my cheekbones get in the way a lash curler performing the way it should—no really–you have to see it to believe it. But this one fits perfectly, its sleek frame allows a firm grip and the curved rubber pad helps to bend the lashes at just the right angle. I am very impressed with this curler. The last eyelasher curler that I really adored was the Shu Uemura one which is no longer carried at Sephora and so difficult to find. This one is a keeper.
