The Shadescents
RUBY WOO: This is a woody floral scent with whiffs of deep red leather. This woody scent really draws you in. It’s strong, but not overpowering and is both masculine and feminine at the same time. This could totally pass as a unisex scent in my opinion.
CANDY YUM YUM: This fruity floral scent is sweet like candy with notes of tropical fruit and cotton candy. It’s quite fitting for someone with a fun, bubbly, and playful personality that loves to play with color. It’s the lighter, kind of tropical type of scent that I often like to wear over the summer.
LADY DANGER: This scent is described as woody floriental. It has notes of Wild Cherry that is sensual, captivating and perfectly fitting for its lipstick namesake.
MY HEROINE: This woody leather scent is perhaps the strongest scent of them all. It contains notes of saffron, incense smoke, and cordovan leather. It’s powerful and intense, and the type of scent that commands attention. It will get you noticed when you enter a room.
CREME D’ NUDE: This amber musk shade is sweet and sexy. It’s one of my favorites. It’s not too overpowering, but not too soft either. It’s the perfect in between scent that I see myself wearing throughout the seasons, whether it’s Spring or Fall.
VELVET TEDDY: Last but not least, my absolute favorite. Velvet teddy contains notes of wild honey and creamy musk. It’s soft and sensual, yet subtle and powerfully addictive at the same time. It’s absolutely intoxicating. This fragrance I predict will be a customer favorite. I also love the rose gold accents for the packaging of the lipstick and fragrance. It’s so aesthetically pleasing. Swatches of all six lipstick shades to follow below on my NW35 skin tone.

I have worn several of the Shadescents throughout the week, and I have to tell you that my top three picks are Candy Yum Yum, Creme D’ Nude, and Velvet Teddy. The scents are Eau De Parfum scents which are more concentrated than the Eau de Toilette fragrances. They are long lasting and linger deliciously after hours of wear. I prefer to wear stronger, more sensual scents in the Fall and more sweet and airy fragrances in the spring and summer and my top three picks have got me covered!
With the new MAC Shadescents, there is a scent to suit every personality and mood, whether you like a playful scent or a strong and sensual one.
Each MAC Shadescent will retail for $57 USD and each limited edition lipstick paring will retail for $17 USD. It will launch online November 30th on their official website and at Macy’s and will launch in stores December 8th.
