L'oreal recently released their Colour Riche La Palette Lips, a lip palette with three different finishes and three color families available in Pinks, Plums or Nudes. I received the palettes while attending Beauty Con LA in July and today I have my review and swatches to share with you.
Each palette houses 8 shades in the same color family and is packaged in a black plastic compact with a reflective outer case that contains a clear window in the front which displays the colors within. It also includes a dual-ended lip brush for application. Each palette has a range of shades available in 3 different finishes: cream lipstick, matte lipstick and highlighter.
The palettes are priced at $16.99 each although you can likely purchase the palettes for less with many buy one, get one offerings and coupons that are available to use in many retail locations where L'Oreal products are sold.
These palettes are curated in such a way that allows you to mix and match and create a range of looks perfectly tailored to your liking. The colors are pigmented and glide on smoothly with the application of the lip brush provided, although I still prefer to use a retractable lip brush I purchased some years ago from Sephora. They feel creamy, and comfortable on the lips. While most of the colors have a slight glossy finish, some shades have an opaque finish and there is one shade at the end of each palette that has a reflective shimmery finish. This shade can be used to add dimension and highlight the center of your lips. There are tips on L'Oreal's website on how to create certain lip looks including the popular ombre trend. I find that each palette has the same great consistency. It's pleasant to wear, non sticky, and I can achieve good 5 hours of wear. It did not look patchy or uneven or dry after prolonged wear time, though it will require reapplication after eating and/or drinking as it is not completely transfer proof. Images and swatches of all three palettes to follow below.

Overall, I think the palettes are a great value. They are priced affordably and likely you can find and purchase the palette at a discounted price by using the in- store ads available at retail locations.
You get 8 shades contained within that you can mix and match to your heart's desire to create your custom lip color. They are pigmented, smooth, and comfortable to wear. They are also compact enough to fit in your makeup bag so you can retouch as needed. Overall, I am pleased with the assortment of colors available and I have found myself gravitating toward the La Palette in Pink. It contains effortlessly wearable pinks that adds a soft touch of color on the lips that suit me beautifully.
I would recommend you check these out on your next visit to the drugstore. You can also check them out online on L'Oreal's site which you can find here.
Thank you for stopping by today.
