Benefit Cosmetics introduces two new kits as an extension of their popular They're Real range of products. The first is the the They're Real Big Sexy Lips Kit and the second is the They're Real Big Sexy Eye Kit, which I'll be sharing with you today. The palette is now available online and in stores and features three beautifully paired duos of neutral shades.
The kit comes in a cute, compact and sturdy tin- like case that opens up to a sizable mirror housing the shadows and applicator within. It includes 3 neutral eyeshadow duos and what they call a custom shadow blender that features a rounded sponge like tip.

This beyond belief neutral eyeshadow palette contains three They're Real! eyeshadow duos (for a total of 6 shades) that look gorgeous on all skin tones. These perfectly paired shadows glide on seamlessly, build beautifully and last for 12 crease-resistant hours*. Take your look from daytime to playtime in an instant thanks to the mirrored case and custom ShadowBlender applicator that creates a complete eyeshadow look in one simple sweep! Say hello to bigger, sexier eyes in seconds! *Instrumental test on 20 panelists.

To apply the shadows, you slide the Custom Shadow Blender across the eyeshadow pan, then sweep it onto the lid. Benefit suggests you position the custom shadow blender in the inner corner of your eye with a darker shade along the lash line, though it can be switched up with the position of the lighter shade along your lash line depending on your makeup look and preference.
The image above reflects how the shadows appear onto the custom shadow blender when swept in the pan. The shades are a neutral lovers dream. They are beautifully pigmented, silky and result in a slightly shimmery finish. The shadows applied smoothly onto my lids, although I will have to admit that using the custom shadow blender instead of reaching for my eyeshadow brush felt a little awkward initially. I like the concept and the novelty behind the idea of a duo shadow blender, but I'll have to admit that old habits die hard. I'll likely still reach for my eyeshadow brush to help apply the shadows with more precision, and to help blend the shadows in place. Swatches to follow below.
I am still playing around with the color combinations and will work on updating this post with a full review soon. What are your thoughts? Will you be picking up this palette?
The palette retails for $36 USD and is currently available in stores where Benefit products are sold and they are also currently available online at Macys and on the Benefit Cosmetic's official website which you can find here.
