Urban Decay recently released the All Nighter Liquid Foundation, which is part of their Fall 2016 release. Like its moniker, the foundation claims to last "all night", provide full, matte coverage while the formula is comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis. I have had the foundation in my rotation for over a month now and today I'm ready to share my review.
I'll first start with the packaging. The foundation is very visually appealing and comes in a gunmetal metallic finish featuring asymmetrical cutouts that make it very edgy and modern. It's also equipped with an airless pump to easily dispense the product.
The foundation comes in a wide range of 24 shades to suit a variety of skin tones. I purchased the foundation in the shade 6.5 which is described as a "medium beige with subtle pink undertones" For reference, I wear the shade NW 35 in MAC and though I have more of a golden undertone, when trying on the foundation in store, 6.5 was my best match. The foundation is what it claims to be and provides a beautiful matte finish. A little truly goes a long way. The formula boasts a concentration of 25% pigment which helps to diffuse light, blur imperfections, and provide flawless coverage.
Though the foundation provides matte coverage, the formula is not heavy, and does not feel drying whatsoever when worn. I have applied the foundation with both a beauty blender and sponge and it applies beautifully, leaving me with a seamless matte finish that does not emphasize pores nor cling to dry patches. In terms of longevity, the foundation stayed intact through out the day. It held well through the So Cal heat and humidity and I was able to achieve a good 12 hours of wear before taking off my makeup at the end of the night, otherwise I suspect it would still be going strong!
Overall, this is a fantastic foundation. It does what it claims and I think the foundation would work well for those of you that have oily skin and/or like to achieve more of a matte finish. I am certainly looking forward to putting this foundation in rotation.
