When it comes to lashes, I need all the help I can get. My lashes are naturally quite thin, short and sparse and still on the road to recovery after a not so pleasant experience with last extensions months ago. Enter in *MAC Cosmetics Bold and Bad Lash Mascara, which has a unique dual chamber package that promises to deliver. I have put it to the test and today I have my review to share with you.
MAC BOLD & BAD LASH
Pricing and Availability: $23 US/ $28 Canada, June 8th at Maccosmetics.com and in- store.
Let’s first talk about the packaging which is so unique and one- of- a kind. First, there’s the silver tube that contains street style font on the outside. The writing is raised and feels like velvet to the touch. I can’t help but run my fingers up and down the tube. But it’s what’s on the inside that really counts. You get a wand for the upper lashes AND a smaller wand for the lower lashes with different formulas in each! The smaller wand is hidden inside the larger one and you have to twist off the red cap to to reveal it. Very innovative, indeed.
The mascara formula also comes in the carbon black variety I like. The upper lash wand is easy to apply and provides undeniable volume with one coat. I can also add an extra coat and layer it without the clumpiness. I start from the base of my lashes and move up. All I need is two coats to transform my barely there lashes to one that has volume, length, and definition. I follow by using the smaller wand to coat my bottom lashes and get into the itty bitty hard- to- reach areas. I get instant volume for my upper lashes, and instant definition for my bottom lashes, a winning combination! The mascara doesn’t flake, clump, nor smudge throughout the day–another plus.
Bottom line, there is a lot to love with MAC’s Bold and Bad Lash mascara. The cool packaging coupled with its innovative design and performance makes it a winner in my book. It provides volume, length and definition for both the top and bottom lashes, helping to create beautifully lush lashes that I desire. This is one I would recommend to put on your beauty radar.
Thanks for stopping by today.
