Today’s beauty post is dedicated to Dior Beauty. The brand is one that I consider the Creme de La Creme of beauty. The products exude sophistication and luxury and the line in my humble opinion, offers timeless beauty products that can be used throughout the seasons, not merely for makeup trends that just come and go. Dior Beauty recently released the Dior Show Pump N Show Volume Mascara.* I’ve been using it in my beauty routine for the past month along with some other Dior Beauty bits: the Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation, Dior Skin Luminizing Powder in Golden Glow * and most recently, the Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer. Today’s post will primarily focus on the Pump N Show Volume mascara review, however, I’d like to also provide my feedback on the other products that have fallen under the tested, tried, and true category.
Dior Show Pump N Volume Mascara. Official Description, courtesy of Sephora.com:
Create instant lash volume with the simple power of a squeeze. By pumping the soft tube, you’ll coat the brush and soften the creamy, rich mascara formula inside for a perfect, fresh application, every time. This mascara’s special bounce-effect brush features ultra-supple bristles that load lashes in a single sweep, sweeping on daring, pumped-up volume without clumping—for lash volume pushed to the extremes.
The mascara’s squeezable tube that keeps the formula soft and fresh, it fully loads the brush for instant lash volume. The high-performance, elastomeric brush is rigid enough to style lashes without clumping, and it has a bounce effect to deliver a lush, full, ultra-volumized lash look. The creamy, dense, volumizing formula features elastic Bouncy Powders™ that results in a uniquely creamy, dense texture that lasts from first to last application.
Let’s first discuss packaging. The mascara is packaged similarly to their range of mascaras, featuring a rounded tube with the Silver Dior logo around the top. The base of the tube is soft and flexible and requires but a mere pump to softly coat the wand and prime it for application. Be careful not to pump too much onto the brush. I found that two small pumps helps to deposit just the right amount. The silicone brush, with bristles that gently grip and coat each lash is just the right size to provide volume, definition, and length in a single coat. The formula is soft and creamy as described and it comes in the carbon black variety that I like. I get longer, fuller, and lush lashes in one stroke that never looks or feels clumpy.
I can distinctly see an immediate difference upon application and thoroughly enjoy using the mascara day after day. Mascara is one beauty item I cannot live without! It’s a must have for me because it just takes my barely there lashes to the next level.
Now onto other Dior Beauty products that have become a staple in my summer beauty routine:
Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation:
The foundation yields the perfect soft matte coverage that blends beautifully, correcting any minor skin imperfections and leaving my complexion smooth and flawless. The formula is not heavy and leaves a slightly luminous finish. Thanks to the infusion of SPF 35, my skin is also protected.
Dior Skin Luminizing Powder in Golden Glow:
Golden Glow is a luminous golden highlighter that is very smooth and soft to the touch. This color provides a beautiful and subtle luminous glow. This one is natural enough to be appropriate for any situation. It’s so soft and subtle. When lightly swept over my face, it helps to illuminate the high points of my face without being over the top. It doesn’t emphasize my pores and wears beautifully throughout the day.
Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer.
My latest obsession is this concealer. It’s been on heavy rotation the past two weeks and the formula is incredible! It’s a highly pigmented and creamy formula that helps to immediately conceal and keep my dark circles at bay. It’s a formula that is waterproof and stays put without any noticeable creasing. You have to try it to really see how amazing it is!
