Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye Conic Scandalust Palette Review & Swatches

Marc Jacobs Beauty Eyeconic Scandalust review |www.calibeaute.com

Marc Jacobs Beauty recently released six new Eye-Conic Multi Finish Eye Palettes. It’s still in the same seven pan format as their Style Eye Con palettes and was inspired by the fabrics from Marc Jacobs’ latest runway collection. Each new palette includes seven new shades in four fashion finishes: buttery matte velvet, shimmering satin, sparkling silk, and metallic lame. I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs beauty. I previously reviewed one of their Style Eye Con eyeshadow palettes here. As soon as the palettes were made available on the Sephora site, I placed an order for the Scandalust palette. Read on for details and swatches.

Marc Jacobs Eye Shadow Palette

According to its official description, each curated palette includes a mix of chic, neutral, and wearable shades as well as pops of color in a new super-plush shadow formulation to cover lids in lasting, velvety-rich pigment. There are six palettes available in this collection:

  • Provocouture : Dusty Plum & Magenta
  • Frivoluxe :  Chilled Greige & Violet
  • Glambition : Bare & Bronze
  • Scandalust : Rust & warmed browns with scarlet
  • Edgitorial : camouflage and reflective gold
  • Sartorial : celestial cobalt and icy teal with prismatic gray

The Scandalust palette has an array of warm tones that I adore.  It has an impressive range of finishes that are complementary to one another. These shades can truly take you from day to night. I love that it includes the deeper shade Little Miss to not only deepen and intensify my crease but also to add a more smoldering effect. Each shade is buttery, pigmented and blends beautifully. In comparison to the Eye Con No. 7 palettes from the line that I have previously purchased, I will have to say that the quality remains wonderfully consistent, except this is the upgraded 2.o Version. MJB shadows, but better. And I can’t help but love the shade names. Read it from top to bottom, and you’ll see why.

Marc Jacobs Eye Conic Palettea

Bottom Line, I am truly impressed with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye Conic Scandalust Eyeshadow palette. It features a cohesive set of colors that are equally as gorgeous in the pan as they are on the eyes. I’ll be dressing up my eyes with this palette quite often.  Since then, I have purchased the Crease Brush which is a welcome addition to my collection. It’s luxe, well made, and blends beautifully.I have my sights on the Coconut Eyeshadow Primer next! What about you? Do you have your sights on any of the palettes?
