The Urban Decay Heavy Metal Holiday Collection * for 2017 is all about bringing out the glitter and sparkle this season. The collection includes the New Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette as well as a new Vice Metal Meets Matte Lipstick Palette. In addition, six new shades also join the Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner assortment.
The Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette , $55, is packaged in a beautiful and one -of-kind purple metallic case. It is designed and organized like a painters palette, with brights on the left, and neutrals on the right. It also comes with a sizable mirror in the middle. The palette easily slides open to reveal 20 NEW! and exclusive shades. Urban Decay developed a new eyeshadow formula to amp up the foiled effect of each shade and I found each shade to be creamy, ultra pigmented and easy to blend with and apply. All the swatches below were one swipe finger swatches taken in direct sunlight with no primer. I love the workable color combinations. The metallic neutrals are my absolute favorite though I appreciate the pops of color on the other side as well. The color payoff of the shadows are truly amazing! It’s long lasting, and you can create looks that take you from day to night. You really get the best of both worlds with this palette.

The Vice Metal Meets Matte Lipstick Palette, $35, contains 12 lip shades total– 6 metallized shades and 6 matte shades in a variety of colors. You get your neutrals, brights, and even darker sultry tones to work with. Six of the shades are new and currently exclusive to the palette. The palette comes in a stunning purple compact that is just as beautiful to behold as the Heavy Metals palette. It opens up to a sizable mirror and includes a Vice lip brush for application. The shades are organized by finish and color family. The metallized shades are on top, while the coordinating matte shades are underneath. The formula is just as creamy and pigmented as their Vice lipstick formulas and the colors are so versatile to work with. You could easily mix and match to create your own custom lipstick shade. I find that the matte shades are comfortable on and never drying with some serious lasting power as well. I own 714 in the lipstick shade and the the one poured in the palette has the same incredible pigmentation and consistency.

Finally, the holiday season wouldn’t be complete without a little glitter and sparkle and the Urban Decay Metal Glitter Eyeliners , $20, offer an array of shades that are budge proof and so effortlessly easy to apply. It comes with a very thin applicator that allows me to apply it very close to the lash line. The glitter truly is next level! (I don’t think my camera can accurately capture how beautifully it truly sparkles.) It has a water-based, buildable liner formula that contains peach and cucumber extract to condition the skin. It really stays put throughout the day and is one of the best glitter formulas that I have tried.
