Milk Makeup Eye Pigment Swatches and First Impressions

New In: The Milk Makeup Eye Pigments.* It is officially described as a vivid, and highly pigmented cream eyeshadow in a portable tube that delivers bold color in one swipe that dries quickly without creasing. The brand, which is relatively new to the world of beauty prides it self on creating a multi-functional, high-tech, low maintenance line for the busy woman who needs less time getting ready and more time getting stuff done. I have recently reviewed their Blur Stick Primer, (reviewed here) and was very impressed. When this package arrived, I was so eager to pop open the lid and start swatching away. Today I will offer you a closer look at the eleven shades available that range from neutral to colorfully bold.

Official details via Sephora.com:

Bring a pop of color to your look with Milk Makeup’s long-wearing Eye Pigment. It gives you tenacious color with a soft, silky texture, drying on quickly without creasing. Create a dimensional, long-lasting look that’s as refined or rebellious as you want—layer to intensify. Easily blendable, this shadow is perfect for giving lids a vibrant touch of color for everyday looks.made easy for the girl-on-the go and needs to get her makeup done in a jiffy.

The Shades:

Hobby Lobby– Champagne

Gig– Bronze

After Party– Light Pink

All Nighter– Charcoal

Peep Show-aupe

Rave-Bright Purple

Sesh-Royal Blue

Mermaid Parade-Green

Rager-Ice Blue

Jam Room-Iridescent Lavender

Silent Disco-Brown

I find that the shadows are extremely pigmented, and pack a lot of pigment. You get a metallic finish with each shade that is not too over the top. The texture is silky and easy to blend with your fingers but I must offer a word of caution– A little truly goes a long way! It also dries quickly so I would suggest you blend within 10-15 seconds of applying it onto your lids. Once it sets, it is long lasting and will not budge!  Every shade swatched smoothly with the exception of Peep Show, which felt a little chunky, quite possibly due to what I would describe as the most glittery shade of the bunch. I did not experience any creasing on the lids and it lasted on me for a good 7 hours. I read that it also can be used as a liner with a brush and I have yet to try that. There is an impressive range of 11 shades to suit any makeup look. I think this is perfect to pop in your makeup bag, and especially convenient for the woman on-the-go. Swatches to follow below.

The Milk Makeup Eye Pigment retails for $24 each and is currently available online at Sephora and  select locations where Milk Makeup is sold, You can also find them on their official website here.
