The MAC Mirage Noir Collection is now available online and will be in stores May 17th. This summer collection features limited edition pieces in duo chrome packaging that shifts from blue to purple. Today I will be sharing an overview and swatches of the products that I received last week. Summer is just around the corner and the collection features some beautiful hues for a sultry summer look.
The star of the collection is the Mother ‘O Pearl Pearlmatte Face Powder, $34. It features a beautiful swirl pattern with a mix of golden brown, muted peach beige, red plum, and warm chestnut brown. When swirled together, it provides a luminous light bronze flush with a hint of pink. The powder is smooth to the touch and nicely pigmented. If there is one thing to get from the collection, I would recommend this!
I also received the Extra Dimension Bronzing Powder in Delphic, $34 and the Matte Bronzing Powder, $27. Delphic is a repromote and is described as a coppery bronze with gold sparkles. It has a unique texture that feels creamy to the touch and provides a more luminous finish of the two. This is beautiful for a radiant all over bronze that is sheer, yet buildable. The Matte Bronzing Powder is part of their permanent collection. I received the deeper shade of the two available which is described as a neutral medium deep-toned matte bronze. The shade worked perfectly on my golden medium NW35 skin tone, though I suspect that it might be too dark for fair skin folks. I find the formula to be smooth and pigmented and I think it’s perfect for providing a subtle, natural sun- kissed bronze. Both bronzers provide beautiful warmth and depth. I always have a bronzer on rotation, and of the two, Delphic is my favorite. It’s my first introduction to their Extra Dimension Bronzing formula, and I am so impressed with the way it enhances my features and provides just the right amount of luminosity. I adore the 104SES Full face brush, $42. The bristles are so soft and the fan shaped design makes it easy for me to apply both bronzer and powder.
The MAC Face & Body Foundation in Medium Deep Pearl is described as a lightweight, shimmering fluid foundation with sheer buildable coverage and added bronze pearlescent particles. It’s also described as as long wearing formula that is water-resistant. The shade N9 is not my best match to apply all over as a foundation on my face, but it works well as a liquid bronzer. The pearlescent particles contained within provide a radiant, luminous flinish and I look forward to playing around with it more this summer.
Swatches L to R: Mother ‘O Pearl, Delphic, Matte Bronzer in Deep Bronze, and Face & Body Foundation in Medium Deep Pearl.
There are four eyeshadow offerings in the collection and I have two two share with you today:
Dust Off -Soft beige shimmer (Frost)
Sun, Tan, & Repeat- Forest green with purple sparkle (Veluxe Pearl)
There’s a really nice shimmery finish to both of these shadows. There’s a gorgeous color shift with Sun Tan and Repeat that was hard to accurately capture on camera. It’s a gorgeous shade to use to create a smoky eye. While Dust Off can also be used as a highlight shade, the latter can be used to also deepen and define the crease. They are both highly pigmented, easy to blend and great for a sultry summer look for the eyes.

I received three lipsticks from the MAC Mirage Noir Collection which are priced at $18.50 each:
Nothing to Wear -Cool Nude (Cremesheen)
Noon Noir-Frosty Brown (Frost)
Twig– Soft Muted brownish pink (Satin) Permanent Collection.
I already love the shade Twig which is part of their permanent collection. It’s what I consider a beautiful neutral shade that I can wear any time or season. While I likely won’t wear Noon Noir alone, I think it’s a beautiful shade to wear as a lip topper to give the lips extra dimension and shine. Nothing to Wear is yet another gorgeous neutral toned lipstick that goes well with my complexion.
The collection also includes 5 lipglass offerings priced at $17.50 each. The three I will be sharing with you today are:
- Oysterized- Soft white shimmer
- Midnight Dip- Mid-tone violet shimmer
- Treasure Beach- Bright fuchsia
The formula is highly pigmented and provides a high-gloss, glass-like finish. I’ve always found this product to be extremely versatile. It can be worn on its own, or worn over lipstick or lip pencils. It also contains jojoba oil to help soften and condition the lips. Swatches to follow below.
Swatches L to R: Oysterized, Treasure Beach, Midnight Dip, Nothing to Wear, Noon Noir, Twig
The MAC Mirage Noir Collection is limited edition and is available online today. It will launch in stores May 17th and is available also at Ulta and Nordstrom.
