Urban Decay’s latest Ulta Exclusive palette offering is the Urban Decay Aphrodisiac Palette , now available online and at Ulta stores. It features colors that remind me of Fall—deep plums, warm nudes, in a sultry mix of mattes and shimmers.
The palette is housed in a slim, sturdy mirrored compact that is the same size as the Naked Heat Petite palette, reviewed here. The outer packaging features rose petal blooms enclosed in a burgundy travel-friendly compact that gives it an edgy, yet romantic feel. .
The colors contained within are a combination of shades that are extremely pigmented and complementary to one another. The shades Addict and Night Fever are simply stunning! I find that the palette is so easy to work with, whether I want to go for a more subtle look or amp up the intensity. The formula is velvety, super easy to blend, with amazing staying power. Using my holy grail UD Primer Potion makes the shadows even more vibrant!
- Sheets (warm nude matte)
- Beyond (matte terra-cotta)
- Night Fever (soft rose gold metallic)
- Addict (deep magenta shimmer)
- Glare (metallic brown with gold shimmer)
- Whiplash (deep reddish-brown matte)
L-R: Whiplash, Glare, Addict, Night Fever, Beyond, Sheets
Also released along with the palette are three new limited edition shades of UD’s HI-FI SHINE ULTRA CUSHION LIP GLOSS. I’ve previously reviewed and swatched all shades here. The formula is non sticky and feels cushiony on the lips. The glosses are enriched with Vitamin E and peppermint oil to help hydrate the lips. I find that two of the three shades are very subtle (they could even work as lip toppers) and looks beautiful paired with any lipstick.
Aphrodisiac-sheer nude with holographic pink/teal shift
Tongue Tied- (deep fuchsia with blue/pink sparkle)
Ghosted-(sheer lavender with iridescent glitter)
L to R: Tongue Tied, Ghosted, Aphrodisiac
Bottom line, this is another dreamy palette from Urban Decay. I am impressed with the shade selection. It contains such a sultry mix of tones that are perfect for Fall. I’m equally obsessed with UD’s eyeshadow formula and incredible staying power. The glosses are also another great addition to the lineup that complements the palette very nicely.
I just checked the Urban Decay website and the current status is shown as ‘Coming Soon” You can now find it online or in stores at Ulta
