Fall is officially here. With it comes pumpkin spice lattes, cinnamon bread and of course, wearing my favorite fall shades on the makeup front. Along with the start of Fall also comes a host of new beauty trends I can find at my local Nordstrom Beauty Trend Event.
Every New York Fashion Week, Nordstrom goes backstage to assess the biggest beauty trends and then brings this intel directly to their customers. If you are not familiar with trend week, it’s an annual event that takes place at Nordstrom locations nationwide. Not only do you get to preview the freshest beauty trends and pick up insider tips and tricks at selected runway shows, you also get an opportunity to chat with beauty experts, receive free samples, and more.
For the Fall 2018 season, they’ve identified many trends. Kindly scroll below for details.
TREND
Kissed Lips: Matte Berry hues instantly broadcast a lust for life. You can start with a scrub, then play with balms, stains and velvety textures in rich, juicy reds.
Some of my recommendations include the:
Dior Ultra Rouge Hydra Lipstick in 651 Ultra Fire– this ultra comfortable and ultra pigmented lipstick boasts 12 hours of wear in a luminous, semi-matte finish.
Armani Lip Magnet Liquid lipstick 505– *They have the most incredible formula and texture. They are lightweight, apply wet initially but dry down an incredibly comfortable matte finish that is never drying. For lip swatches and my full review, click here.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Bond Girl-one of the most comfortable matte formulas I have tried. This color is perfect for bringing out the warm, toasty hues of Fall.
YSL Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain #16-Nude Emblem is one of YSL’s most popular liquid matte lip stain shades and for good reason. This shade is so flattering on most, if not all skin tones, and is not only long lasting, but lightweight.
TREND
80’s Haze: Tap into a decade of decadent color to electrify your look and upend your routine. Bold, 80’s-inspired color is newly wearable applied in sheer washes, while subtle shifts in placement up the artistry.
When it comes to this Fall trend, NARS has a host of new products in their Fall line up. First, NARS launched their newly reformulated * Single & Duo eyeshadows. They are comprised of both new and existing shades with a nifty new feature. All of them now contain a magnetic base, easy to pop out and to mix and match. There is really a lot of love and play with these new NARS additions and I’ll be sharing my favorite shades along with swatches soon.

Future Beauty: Replicate that post-facial feeling with high-tech tools and supplements that address your skin concerns from the inside out. Build a routine that gets results and face the future with glowing skin.
Establishing an effective skin care routine is an important task. Especially now more than ever since I’ve reached my 30’s. My goal is to keep my skin healthy, smooth, nourished, and deeply hydrated. Two of my favorite luxury creams from Nordstrom include the:

La Mer Moisturizing Cream-this deeply rich cream helps to rejuvenate my skin and keep it looking firm and supple. I simply warm a small pea sized amount in my palms and then press it onto my skin. I wake up to skin that looks more smooth, youthful, and refreshed.
