Today’s post features makeup products that I have found myself reaching for over and over again the past couple of weeks. With Fall in full swing, I prefer a full face that is equal parts matte, yet glowy in all the right places for a lit from within glow. On the makeup front, I am also preferring deeper and warmer tones to accentuate the eyes and lips.
For my base, I am currently loving the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation Warm Olive -You get beautiful buildable coverage that lives up to its claim of long lasting, buildable sweat proof wear. It does not come in a frosted glass bottle like many foundations so it was very travel friendly for my recent trips to New York and Arizona. It holds up so well throughout the day, and I am deeply impressed with the way my make up looks after hours of wear.
For concealer, I am obsessed with the * Jouer Essential High Coverage Concealer . It provides crease free, smooth, and long lasting coverage with a host of skincare benefits to boot. Swatches of all 25 shades here.
On my eyes, I’ve been using the * Naked Cherry Eyeshadow palette. nonstop. It contains the perfect mix of berry hues for the Fall season. The shadows are arranged from light to dark and include a range of finishes: soft mattes, shimmering coppers, and satin plums to burgundies. The shadows are velvety to the touch, and have excellent pigmentation. The palette is perfect for both day and night and with the shade selection available, I’ve been able to create a range of looks. You can see swatches and more images here. In addition, the Naked Cherry Highlight and Blush Palette has the most incredible highlight shade when I want a more intensified glow.
For my cheeks, I prefer a flush that immediately enlivens my complexion and provides a healthy radiance. I am obsessed with the new *NARS Hot Tryst Cheek Palette It is beautifully pigmented and I love the radiance and luminosity each shade imparts. You can mix and layer each shade to create your own custom flush. The end result is a healthy looking, luminous flush that is long lasting, previously reviewed here.
