New Makeup Tried & Tested: L’oreal Infallible Foundation, Tom Ford Lip Lacquer Luxe & More

I can’t believe how fast this year is flying by. It’s the last day of February, and Spring will be officially upon us by next month’s end. I love trying, testing, and discovering new beauty products. Today I wanted to share a round up of some new beauty products I’ve been testing out lately. With the sheer amount of new releases that seem to drop every other week, it can be overwhelming, and I wanted to take a different approach on my blog. If you’re curious about the new L’oreal Infallible Foundation, Tom Ford Lip Luxe Lacquers, or anything pictured above, kindly scroll below and read on!

BASE

L’oreal Infallible Fresh Water 24 H Foundation & Infallible Full Wear Concealer

I was browsing the beauty aisle at my local Target and was excited to find both the concealer and foundation. I picked up shade 460 in the foundation which is described as a golden beige shade and the concealer in #355 (Vanilla) since I typically like my concealer a bit lighter to highlight. The Infallible foundation is described as a longwear foundation with breathable-skin technology with medium-to-full buildable coverage. The formula’s three oil absorbers claim to resist sweat, water, and transfer. One word—Wow! The formula is an ultra-thin liquid that goes on smoothly. It blends beautifully and immediately evens my skin tone and blurs any imperfections. It really does feel weightless and fresh on the skin and it provides a nice healthy, fresh looking complexion that lasts from morning to night. Thanks to SPF 15, my skin feels additionally protected, and SPF happens to be one of those non-negotiables for me. The Infallible Full Wear Concealer linked here, has a large applicator which reminds me to the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. It provides full coverage, yet it’s non drying, does not crease and stays put all day. I think I may have found my new favorite drugstore base products with the introduction of these two products.

Armani Power Fabric Compact Balm Foundation

Another recent beauty discovery is the Power Fabric in a compact, linked here, which I have come to love. It’s the perfect makeup bag companion and provides beautiful day- to- night coverage. You can find my full review with swatches here.

LIPS

Tom Ford Lip Lacquer Luxe

Truth be told, I haven’t purchased anything from Tom Ford in the lip category for a while. The last purchase of their Shade & Illuminate Lip Duo was a bit underwhelming for me, and nothing truly caught my attention until images of these appeared online. I love a good liquid lipstick formula and was really intrigued by these. They come in both a matte and high shine finish and I picked up one from each category. In the matte formula, I picked up Pussycat which is a mid tone rose. In the high shine finish, I picked up Insinuate, which I would describe as a medium peachy nude. Both colors provide opaque coverage in a single swipe, saturating my lips in high impact color. The formula feels so rich and luxurious. I also love the luxe packaging. It feels weighty and true to the luxury of Tom Ford makeup. The high shine lip lacquer does transfer when eating or drinking, so if you’re looking for something that stays put I would suggest the matte version. These are a bit pricey at $57 a piece, but totally worth the splurge if it’s within your budget.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Unlocked & Ciate Wonderwand Lipsticks

I am a fan of the formula of the Stunna lip paints. So far, I have Uncensored & Uncuffed in my collection and was happy to add this beautiful vibrant pink shade to my collection. Additionally, I have been enjoying the look and feel of the Ciate Wonderwand lipsticks, reviewed fully here.

EYES

Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette *

I have been using this palette non stop. I love the mix of neutrals in both matte and shimmer finishes. This updated one will be on heavy rotation. I have more images and my full review and swatches here.

MAC Prep + Prime Eye Base, Milani Cosmetics Dangerous Lengths Mascara, & Maybelline Curvitude Liner

These three have been on heavy rotation to prep, define, and complete my eye makeup routine. The Milani Dangerous Lengths mascara lengthens, volumes and gives my lashes some serious oomph. The MAC Prep + Prime keeps my shadows staying power strong from morning til evening, while the Maybelline Curvitude liner has a curved tip which makes creating a precise line a breeze.

FACE

NARS Exposed Blush Palette*

This palette is so perfect for Spring. I can tell you that every shade works with my medium golden skin tone and gives the most beautiful flush. I will be using this all Spring and Summer! See swatches in a previous post here.

I hope you enjoyed reading my round up new beauty. What do you have your sights on?

xx,
Dom
