“Rosy hues and pearlescent accents give the perfect tones for an on-trend, festival season moment, whilst classic favorites are reimagined with fresh blooming vibes!”-MAC Cosmetics

First up is the Eyeshadow x9 Kabuki Doll palette. This well-edited palette features a colour wave of warm neutral hues offering countless shade combinations. It features textures from frost to matte to veluxe pearl for creating a variety of looks. The palette is so phenomenally pigmented. Swatches below were from a single pass. Every shade is wearable and I think this may be my favorite Eyeshadow x9 of all! The floral packaging is really the icing on the cake. I would not sleep on it!

SHADE DESCRIPTION
  • Dust Off: Soft beige shimmer (Frost)
  • Fortune Kookie: Frosty rusted pink (Frost)
  • Making Mauvey Moves: Mauvey pink (Matte)
  • Don’t Be Koi!: Rosey gold (Frost)
  • Spice Dynasty: Yellow brown (Matte)
  • Bamboo-Zled: Pinky bronze (VLXP)
  • Kyoto Kitty: Red bronze (Frost)
  • Kabuki Doll: Plum red (Matte)
  • Tokyo Drifter: Shimmery midtown taupe (VLXP)

Next up are two gorgeously embossed highlighting powders. They feature a unique cherry blossom design embossed into the powder which truly makes it a collector’s piece. The highlighters provide a sheer veil of color that is not too intense, it’s very soft and subtle in my opinion. There is an overspray which made it difficult for me to want to swatch initially, but I eventually came around to do it for the blog. Please note that these were very gentle swatches. I think they are buildable and can be built to your level of intensity. They are available in two shades:

Fleur Real-Light Pastel Pink

Spring Bling-Red Brownh

Fleur Real

Spring Bling

The Boom Boom Bloom lipsticks in the collection are phenomenally gorgeous! This sakura floral bullet is one the prettiest I’ve ever seen from a MAC Limited edition collection. The line up includes five pink and berry hues to complement every skin tone in a range of both cremesheen and matte finishes. If you’re a MAC beauty enthusiast, you’ll need at least one! The two shades I received:

Wagasa Twirl: dirty blue pink with Pearl

Framboise Moi: Raspberry pink

There are a total of four lip glass shades and I received two of them. Official description courtesy of MAC:

“An exclusive lineup of four pink lip gloss colours for every skin tone that can create a high-gloss, glass-like finish or a subtle sheen. Designed to be worn on its own, over lip pencil or lipstick, it’s the perfect product for creating shine that lasts. It’s pigmented, very shiny and can impart subtle or dramatic colour. It contains jojoba oil to help soften and condition the lips. “

For the Frill of It-pearly light pink

Heartmelter-midtone rosy pink

Rounding up the collection are two complexion products that complete this Sakura blossom themed collection beautifully. The Pink Lite Strobe Cream is described as a moisturizer that boosts the look of dull skin. This one provides a pretty pink glow that mixes well with my foundation. Think fresh and dewy for Spring. Finally, the MAC Prep + Prime in this collection is to die for! It comes in the most delectable cherry blossom scent. The Prep and Prime is a lightweight mist of water packed with vitamins and minerals to gently soothe and refresh the skin. It provides an instant boost of hydration while delivering a soft sheen to refresh and finish makeup. It can be used in so many endless ways. I love to also use it to intensify my shadows and highlighter.

The MAC Boom Boom Bloom Collection is available today online at MAC Cosmetics.com and will be in select stores March 7th.

You can also find MAC Products at Nordstrom, Ulta, and Macy’s.

What will you be picking up?

xx,

Dom
