Ciate Extraordinary Foundation Review & Swatches

Today I’m excited to share with you the latest from Ciate which I have been putting to the test for the past couple of weeks. Ciate’s new Extraordinary Foundation has been two years in the making. It is described as a radiant & hydrating foundation with a buildable, soft medium coverage. It comes in a range of of 20 shades suitable for all skin types and is dermatologically tested, non-comedogenic, and hypoallergenic. I love trying out new bases, it’s probably one of my favorite steps in my makeup routine and today I’m excited to share with you swatches of all 20 shades!

The formula is described as providing up to 16 hours of wear. It’s also versatile and can be buffed into the skin for a sheer finish, applied just where needed or layered for full coverage. It contains botanical extracts such as Mimosa and Arctic Rose that help to instantly lift and energize the skin, plus hydrating hyaluronic acid, moisturizing squalene, and oil controlling bamboo extract for a smooth, comfortable finish. One thing that I am really impressed with is the packaging. It comes with a pump tube that is easy to dispense. It also is a great value. You get 5oml of product! Most foundations only come with 30ml. So how did the foundation perform?

The foundation blended beautifully into my skin. I applied it several ways, using my fingers, a foundation brush and beauty blender and I preferred using a beauty blender. It immediately blurred my pores and evened out my skin tone. Sand was my perfect color match since I have a medium complexion with warm undertones. It has a beautiful dewy, radiant finish that still looks natural and weightless. It provided a really comfortable finish that lasted throughout my entire work day and stayed looking fresh. Bottom line: It’s a thumbs up for me. If you like a medium to full coverage foundation that provides a soft, and hydrating finish then you will really like this one.

Currently the foundation is only available on the Ciatelondon website. I did not find it on the Sephora website and will update this post once it becomes available. There is currently a foundation matching tool on their website to help you find your perfect match. The foundation retails for $34 USD.

Are you interested in trying this foundation. What is your favorite Ciate product? Do tell.

xx,
Dom
