It’s that time of year again. The annual Sephora Holiday Bonus Event arrives today for Rouge members with exclusive early access to the 2019 Holiday offerings. From gift sets, to tried and true basics, you’ll be able to shop everything with major discount, using the code HOLIDAYSAVE. Today I’ll be sharing the details on what I recently hauled, along with some details ,recommendations, and swatches of new products I’ve been currently testing.
I purchased the Nude Rich and Nude Medium eyeshadow palettes from a trio of three mini obsessions palettes that were released. They are so compact, pigmented, and easy to blend. The formula has really improved from the first ever Huda Beauty palette that I purchased from her first release. I’m obsessed with the wearable and versatile tones.
This lipstick & bronzer combo from Too Faced comes in the most adorable Gingerbread Man makeup bag! You get a gorgeous shade of burnt orange lipstick which is Fall apropos and the bronzer is a warm shade that I think would work well for light to medium deep skin tones. They also smell like Christmas!
This limited edition Studio 54 inspired eyeshadow palette from NARS’ holiday collection has some gorgeous topper shades that can really make statement eyes. The glitter topper formula can be layered over other colors for a high-glitter, high-shine finish.
This limited edition shade is a beautiful mahogany complete with sparkly, limited edition packaging which evokes Studio 54 sparkle and glam. Swatches and details on all three lipstick offerings here in a previous post.
I am a huge fan of the Fenty Beauty gloss formula and I picked up this set as soon as it hit store shelves. The shades are so versatile, wearable, and envelop your lips in high shine finish that doesn’t feel sticky and lasts. Swatches below.
I am a sucker for minis and have this radiant rose gold highlighter in the original sized version. I really like the gel based formula that gives a little hint of glow to the skin without it being overtly shimmery. I purchased the kabuki brush months earlier and now see that they have a mini version available. I might have to pick it up this time around.
It comes in a newly improved formula with added skincare benefits and more sun protection. This is the perfect everyday base and a summer staple. It’s lightweight, hydrating and helps to immediately even out my skin tone and leaves my skin looking fresh and radiant. It provides the perfect amount of coverage if you want a natural makeup look. I am in the shade Olive, and though it seemingly swatches darker below, it is a tinted moisturizer that blends into my skin seamlessly.
If you’re looking for a full coverage foundation that feels amazingly lightweight with serious staying power, I would recommend the new *Urban Decay Stay Naked foundation, fully reviewed here. You truly get a natural matte finish that is buildable without having to sacrifice cover.
I was so impressed with the Face & Body Foundation. In fact, I’m almost on empty and when images of this surfaced, I knew I had to try it. It provides a beautiful lit-from within glow when mixed in with my foundations. It subtly illuminates the complexion for a radiance boost and a little bit of glow is what I prefer year round when it comes to makeup looks.
This 18 pan eyeshadow palette full of warm, spicy colors inspired by the rich flavors and colors of fresh-baked Christmas treats. Basically, it’s everything I want in a warm toned palette. The colors are so rich and decadent, and it blends beautifully. There are so many looks you can create with 18 colors to choose from.
This palette is probably my favorite of the holiday offerings released this year from Hourglass. I have my full review with swatches of the collection here.
