Today I am excited to share with you the new NARS Bronzing Collection. It’s coming in hot with new shades, new packaging and a new matte formula! It’s available now at Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, and Narscosmetics.com. I initially purchased the Laguna After Glow Lip Balm and Paradise Found Laguna Bronzer when it first launched online and was thrilled to receive some press samples. Today I’ll be sharing with you all the details along with swatches. Let’s dive in!

Up first is the Paradise Found Tiare Bronzing Powder. It’s an oversized compact of the cult-classic shade Laguna and embossed with a beautiful sand- wave design that mimics the sandy beaches of summer. It’s delightfully scented with NARS’ signature Monoi de Tahiti oil and immediately transports my senses to summer time. The formula is smooth and weightless and truth be told, I could not resist the limited edition design and this was the first thing I added to my cart when the collection launched. Now the gold is only an overspray. If you are an avid fan and a makeup collector, this may really pique your interest, however, the standard size is also available in this summer collection.
The summer collection would not be complete without lip pairings and the NARS Bronzing Collection includes three lip summer lip offerings. One product that has quickly become a favorite of mine is the Afterglow lip balms. For this particular collection, a limited edition Laguna Afterglow lip balm is available exclusively at Sephora. It is described as a shimmering bronze with gold pearl shade. It appears darker in the tube than it does on the lips. Once applied, it provides a sheer wash of color with just the perfect hint of shine. Thanks to its monoi- hydrating complex my lips always feel smooth and nourished.
Additionally, the collection includes two Oil Infused Lip Tints in Laguna, a shimmering bronze with gold, and Reef, a sheer mauve shimmer. These feel very luxurious on the lips. Two highlighted ingredients include raspberry seed oil which nourishes and softens lips and pomegranate extract which provides antioxidants and long-lasting hydration. In comparison, they impart more intense shine than the afterglow lip balm. It makes my lips look healthy and plump and provides just the right amount of color.
Now to the highlight of this year’s NARS Summer collection–the bronzers. NARS introduces a new range of bronzers with new textures and finishes, complete with amplified new packaging in bronze, gold and black. You a sure to find one that will suit you. The new Matte Bronzing Powders are so silky and incredibly pigmented. I like using matte bronzers especially when it comes to defining and sculpting the face. These powders instantly add depth and dimension and I found the shade Samoa- a matte deep golden brown to work really well with my medium golden complexion. The formula is enriched with a luxurious blend of botanicals and extracts for all day wear. There are a total of 4 matte shades available, 3 of which are new:
Vallarta-matte light tan (NEW)
Laguna-matte warm brown
Samoa-matte deep golden brown (NEW)
Quirimba-matte deep red brown (NEW)
The collection also includes their original Bronzing Powders, complete with two new shades. The powders are finely milled with a bit of golden shimmer to give a radiant, sun kissed complexion. I have been a fan of the Laguna shade for several years now and I am happy to see this new iteration in sleek new packaging that seems to be in an even silkier formula. The shades included:
San Juan-diffused light bronze with golden shimmer (NEW)
Laguna-diffused brown powder with golden shimmer
Casino-diffused deep brown powder with golden shimmer
Punta Cana– diffused rich mahogany brown powder with golden shimmer (NEW)
The collection also includes new Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigments. These are loose, densely packed metallic eye pigments that glide onto the lids with intense payoff in a foil like effect. These are easy to apply and I prefer to apply them with my fingertips. When you want to take your eye makeup up a notch, this formula is sure not to disappoint. The limited edition shades include:
Castaway-shimmering translucent white with orange pearl
Islamorada– shimmer turquoise
Stricken-shimmering blackened red
Shock Em-shimmering rose gold.
These are exclusive to the NARS website. I also included swatches of the of the other shade offerings below. These are truly beautiful and you have to really try it for yourself to see.
