Too Faced Melted Chocolate Velvety Matte Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

Hi Everyone! I hope that you are well and staying safe. Today I wanted to share some exciting new Too Faced launches that I recently featured on my Instagram page. Recently, Too Faced expanded their #getmelted line with the addition of the new Melted Chocolate Matte Eyeshadows. These are a 2-in-1 whipped liquid eyeshadow in skin-centric cocoa tones that double as a primer. The formula is described as crease-proof and waterproof. I was able to test them out last Memorial Day weekend. I spent most of the time outdoor pool side and today I’ll be sharing with you swatches and my initial impressions.

There are a total of 8 wearable tones in a range of neutral chocolate tones, ranging from light cocoa creme to rich chocolate brown. Shade names and descriptions are as follows:

Cocoa Cream-soft beige yellow

Tirami-Sue Me-Soft Dusty Plum Brown

Amaretto-Neutral Rosy Brown

Chocolate Bunny-Soft Neutral Chestnut Brown

Chocolate Chai-Warm Red Brown

Chocolate Malt-Beige Brown with Neutral Pink Tone

Chocolate Wine-plum

Warm & Fudgy-neutral warm chocolate Brown

In terms of packaging, they come in a sleek tube, much like the Melted Liquid lipsticks. The slanted doe-foot applicator makes applying the eyeshadows a breeze. I find it best to work with one eye at a time as it dries down very quickly. I used the doe foot applicator to apply it on the lids before taking a small flat brush to blend the shadow all over. I find that less is more when it comes to application. These blend really nicely, and I can also use my fingers to apply it. My two favorite shades are Chocolate Chai and Amaretto. I find that these shades can be worn alone. If I want to add more dimension and depth, I add the tiniest bit of Chocolate wine to my crease and blend it immediately. Swatches and shades names below.

How did the shadows perform? They lasted the entire day, even after numerous dips in the pool. The longevity and immense staying power is amazing. I am also a neutral makeup lover, so these cocoa tones are really perfect year round. If you are looking for something with immense staying power and love a good liquid eyeshadow, this is definitely worth looking into.

Too Faced also launched their new Diamond Fire Bronzer. It’s inspired by their best selling Diamond Light Highlighter and is infused with real crushed diamond powder and light reflecting pearls to add warmth and dimension. It can also be used on the eyes. This is a radiant bronzer that has a shifting dual tone from bronze to gold. It provides a really healthy flush of color on the cheeks. I prefer to use their Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer all over to contour and add dimension while this bronzer is more like a topper for all -over radiance along the cheekbones. The design is stunning and would sit pretty on any vanity. This limited edition release is currently only available online, linked here.

Some more images captured including a behind-the-scenes capture of a friendly neighborhood cat that often visits.

Bottom line, I am really impressed with the performance and the shade range of the new Melted Chocolate Matte Eyeshadows. They retail for $21 each and are now available at Ulta, Sephora, and TooFaced.com
