Viseart Minx Theory Palette Review and Swatches

I have been a fan of Viseart products since my first introduction to their line about a year ago. I have two of their 12 pan palettes in Neutral Matte and Dark Matte and these shadows do not disappoint. Effortlessly wearable, and exceptionally pigmented, I have found them to perform quite well. Upon visiting The Makeup Show last month in LA, I had the opportunity to swatch and play with the new Theory Palettes that recently launched and today I have the Viseart Theory Palette 02 in Minx to share with you. Kindly scroll below for more details.

The palette retails for $45.00 although I was able to receive a generous discount at the Makeup Show. In terms of packaging, the Theory palettes are housed in a lightweight cardboard enclosure that opens up with the pull of a ribbon to reveal six pans held in a plastic container. Each pan is the same size of the shadows contained in their 12 pan palettes. The compact also folds into a working easel which is so unique to its design and wonderful for the working artist.

Details of  the VISEART THEORY 02 – MINX via the Muse Beauty Pro Website:

Ideal for auburn to warm brunette hair, medium to deep skin tones. Unparalleled coverage, pigment and day long lasting power, each palette is designed in a shade range to coordinate with hair and skin tone, complimenting eye makeup from a classic to a dramatic look. There are three matte shades, ideal for base shadow, eye contour, powder liner, and brow definition. The three shimmer pigments are perfect for highlighting,  a soft wash of color or sultry look. Sleek and lightweight, the unique compact palette folds into a working easel, a perfect companion for the artist’s set-bag or the busy connoisseur. Imported from France and contains organic ingredients. Not tested on animals. No parabens, gluten, petrochemicals, silicone or mineral oils. Gluten Free.

Each pan is removable and contains a magnetic base. I was told by the associate working at the Muse Beauty Pro booth that it’s perfectly customizable—you can exchange the colors with the other Theory palettes to your liking. A neat touch!

The Theory Palette in 02 Minx contains a beautiful mix of neutral shades. It contains three matte shadows along with three shimmering shadows that are perfectly complimentary to one another. The images above and below were taken in direct sunlight.

The shadows are simply stunning and impressive. The texture of the shadows are not only exceptionally pigmented, but they glide on smoothly and blend effortlessly, helping me to create a look that stays put all day. The metallic shades contained in this palette are absolutely swoon worthy. They have an amazing creamy texture that delightfully creates a beautiful dimensional effect.  The shadows contained in this palette are perfectly wearable and can create an array of looks that take you from day to night. The exceptional color payoff, coupled with the color selection and impressive design makes this palette an absolute dream. Swatches in direct sunlight on my medium golden skin tone to follow below.

Bottom line, the Viseart Theory palette in Minx is exceptional in both quality and performance. If you are interested in trying out their eyeshadows, I think this is a good place to start before committing to purchasing a 12 pan palette.  As a working freelance makeup artist and beauty lover, these Viseart eyeshadow palettes, without a doubt, continue to impress me.
