Make Up Forever recently launched a newer, reformulated version of their Artist Rouge Lipsticks, available online now at Sephora and slated to arrive in stores very soon. The new reformulated version also comes with a new look and packaging and today I have five colors to share with you.
The new launch comes complete with an extensive shade range of both matte and cream formulas—-45 shades in all–that come in a wide variety of colors. From pinks, nudes, berries, and even bolder offerings in blue and green, there is certainly a color for everyone. In fact, the collection is professionally curated to include the most flattering shades across all color families—with a perfect match for each and every skintone. The line also includes two limited edition shades made in collaboration with the music group Icono Pop.The newer formula boasts 25 percent more pigment than the original Rouge Artist and claims to provide intense, opaque color with a creamy, non drying formula. I am a fan of matte lipsticks and picked out a total of 5 matte shades. See color descriptions below.
Color Descriptions (L-R):
M500-Wine Violet
M401-Limited Edition Hot Red by Icono Pop
M101- Caramel Beige
M204-Raspberry Pink
M501-Plum Violet

First Impressions: The new Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Lipsticks are highly pigmented, glide on easily, and feel comfortable on the lips. Matte formulas tend to be more drying and these lipsticks don’t feel like that at all. I get beautiful opaque coverage with one swipe and truly appreciate the newly designed, sharper bullet which allows for a more precise application around the contours of my lips. First impressions are good!
