Hi Everyone! I wanted to pop in and share about my love for the YSL La Laque Gold Clash Nail lacquer which is part of their La Laque Couture Holiday Collection. The collection, priced at $28 each includes two offerings: Gold Clash No. 78 and Silver Clash No. 79. I’ve had the Gold Clash nail lacquer on for over two weeks now and the color is still going strong, with chipping practically next to nil! Read below for more details.
Description via YSL Beauty online:
“A new generation nail lacquer that’s both elegant and practical is presented in a sleek elongated glass bottle imprinted with the timeless YSL logo. A pantheon of fashion-inspired shades, from subtle and natural nail shades to vibrant and dramatic shades provide a high-shine finish for an instant touch of glamour. Long wear formula with Chil Rose Oil strengthens, moisturizes and protects nails from chipping and cracking. Dries fast and applies evenly without streaking. La Laque Couture is equipped with a new custom-made nail polish brush that allows an easy and fast application. The nail lacquer perfectly adheres to the brush that pulls the drop instead of pushing it for a flawless and intense nail polish color.”
Here is a blink and you missed it set that is currently available at most retail counters. I purchased this set at Nordstrom’s though I’ve also seen it at Bloomingdales. It’s the Kiss and Love Collection set that includes three coordinating polishes and lipsticks and it retails for $78.

Spread the love this holiday season with the Kiss & Love Collection, featuring mini Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks for full coverage and antioxidant care in three bestselling shades: Rouge Rose #52, Rose Stiletto #9 and Le Nu #70. Finish your holiday look with matching YSL’s signature La Lacques in Corail Colisee #4, Rose Romantique #25, and Beige Leger #22.
The image above reflects what my nails look like after TWO weeks of wear. You can see my nail growth at the base of my nail bed if if you look closely. The polish is still intact! The shimmer particles are out of this world and glimmer so beautifully, especially in natural daylight. Two coats is all you need for full, smooth, and opaque coverage. One coat of the polish can also be layered on top of your favorite nail polish shade to add a layer of golden sparkle. This nail polish is absolutely perfect for the holiday season. I can forsee a red and gold combination on the horizon. I have since purchased the Silver Clash edition as well since I’m so impressed with the longevity and coverage.
Another part of the YSL Holiday Collection is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Gold Clash edition lipsticks, $37. I have purchased two shades in Rose Stiletto and Rouge Rose. You can find swatches and my review here if you’re interested.
Bottom line, I would wholeheartedly recommended the La Lacque Couture nail polish in Gold Clash especially if you’re looking for a polish that will add a little sparkle. After all, It’s fun to deviate from the norm every once in while.
The YSL La Laque Gold Clash Nail lacquer retails for $28 and you can find it here.
