Summer Makeup featuring the MAC Bronzed Collection, NARS, and Charlotte Tilbury’s Airflash Bronzer

Summer is now in full swing and today I bring you some recently launched Summer Beauty picks that I recently hauled from MAC, Nars and Charlotte Tilbury. It’s the season to bronze & glow and today’s summer-centric post will have all the fun hues that summer brings, complete with swatches of positively everything!

Today’s post will feature these products:

  1. NARS Hot Nights Face Palette, still available here.
  2. NARS Orgasm X Lip Oil
  3. MAC Matte Bronzer in Beige-ing Beauty
  4. MAC Lipsticks in Cote’ d Amour, Set to Sizzle
  5. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzing Powder
  6. NARS limited edition Laguna bronzer
  7. Too Faced liquid matte shadow in Chocolate Chai
  8. MAC Strobe Face Glaze in Let’s Make Waves
  9. MAC Extra Skin Finish Dimension in Hot Damn
  10. MAC Bronzelite Fix Plus

A love a good pop of vibrant color on the lips for Summer and my picks include the Orgasm X oil infused lip tint from NARS. It has just the right amount of color & shine in the iconic Orgasm pinky- peachy hue with a hint of shimmer. Two highlighted ingredients include raspberry seed oil which nourishes and softens lips and pomegranate extract which provides antioxidants and long-lasting hydration. My picks from the MAC Bronzing Collection include Set to Sizzle, a grapefruit pink and Cote D’ Amour, a bright fuchsia. Swatches to follow below.

I enjoy wearing both liquid & powder highlighters, depending on the look I want to achieve. I’ve used the MAC Extra Dimension Skin finish in Hot Damn repeatedly since my purchase of it a few months ago. It provides a beautiful golden champagne hue that highlights all the high points of the face beautifully. The MAC Face Strobe in Let’s Make Waves is a rose champagne liquid highlighter that is not only ultra blendable, but also lightweight. A little goes long way for extra luminosity. I also love that it’s dressed up in metallic bronze packaging for summer.

There are so many options to achieve the perfect bronze, whether you want a radiant finish or a matte one. Today I have comparison swatches of three bronzers currently in my rotation:

NARS Laguna Bronzer– *diffused brown powder with golden shimmer. I’ve used this bronzer for several years now. It’s finely milled with just the right amount of radiance. NARS recently launched new matte bronzers as well, swatches of the entire collection previously reviewed in my post here.

MAC Bronzing Powder in Beige-ing Beauty-this is a light yellow brown shade in a creamy matte formula that works well for also defining and sculpting the face. It’s lightweight and imparts a beautiful bronzy look without a powdery finish or any noticeable shimmer which is perfect to use for contouring, sculpting, and defining the face.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Powder in Medium 2- this new bronzing powder really piqued my interest because I’m a huge fan of their Airbrush Flawless Powder. Details via Nordstrom: An oversized natural matte bronzer with hyaluronic acid, with finely milled pigments for a skin-perfecting filter for the face and body. This bronzer feels so silky and blends like a dream. It comes with a hefty price tag priced at $55, however it’s encased in a luxe golden compact that with a 16g fill, double the size of your average bronzer. I also read that it is refillable, which is a plus. Additionally, I purchased the Air Brush and it complements it very well. You can find it at Beautylish, linked here.

I recently reviewed the new *Too Faced Melted Chocolate Matte Eyeshadows These are budge proof, waterproof and smudge-proof liquid eyeshadows perfect for beach days. They won’t budge in the pool, either and have immense lasting power. For complete details and swatches, see my previous post, linked here.

Last but not least, the NARS Hot Nights Face Palette is not a new release, but it is one palette that I’ve used frequently over the months. It’s limited edition and sold out almost everywhere, but I was able to find it here. It has everything you need in smoldering summer shades–four eyeshadows, a bronzer and a highlighter. The shades are so versatile and this all-in-one compact is perfect makeup bag companion. Swatches below.

That wraps up my summer-centric post. Now that some places and businesses are reopening I am venturing to places that I enjoy, but still remaining ever so cautious. I hope you are well and staying safe.
